Pat Murphy - Board Member/Managing Partner

Pat is a co-founder and Board Member of Xecutive Advisory Partners. As a Managing Partner Pat engages in executive positions with Xecutive Advisory Partners portfolio projects, and is currently serving as CEO of Vega Performance Marketing. Pat is active in sourcing and assessing potential projects, and raising capital for ventures where our team can bring value and create returns for shareholders.

Since earning his MBA from WSU in 1984, Pat has been consistently launching and growing leading-edge technology companies, helping to raise over $100 million in capital. He has provided strategic sales and marketing consulting to some of the world’s largest technology firms, including Microsoft, AT&T, Intel, Qwest, and others. Pat previously served as a Principal at Lawrence Associates LLC, a full-service consulting firm specializing in developing marketing tools, value-selling models and executive selling training for global companies. Pat served 5 years as Board Member and Managing Partner of NetMinds Consulting, Inc., a Seattle-based consulting and virtual incubator group that helped accelerate over 20 early-stage companies during the dot.com era. Pat has co-founded four businesses and served in various interim c-level executive and business development roles for several others. His experience spans the online services, healthcare, gaming, education, business applications and telecom sectors.

Pat’s brings to our portfolio companies extensive experience in creating product marketing strategies and building sales teams and reseller channels. He successfully led the sales efforts at N2H2, where his team captured 40% of the U.S. education market for internet content filtering, contributing to a successful IPO in 1999. Pat has negotiated and closed several large strategic partnerships with firms such as British Telecom, Compaq, Inktomi, iSeek, Microsoft and others. He has held Advisory Board positions for various technology companies, and has served with several educational and non-profit organizations.

Pat received his B.S in Agricultural Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from Washington State University, where he also taught a Strategic Business Management course. He is a long-time member of the National Board of Advisors and previously served on the Entrepreneurial Studies Program Advisory Board for WSU’s College of Business.
